An old proverb brings what many people have unfortunately had to live through directly to the point: Is marriage just a mistake of society? Or is there really a chance for long term togetherness?

Géraldine Olivier is one woman out of millions, who knows more about life and love than the others. It took three agonizingly long years to recover from the painful disappointment and come back to herself. Now, the Swiss, is back again; prettier and more splendid than ever. After a dramatic marriage, she finally is strong enough to take to the Stage again.

Géraldine put all of her hurts, her pain and the yearning after the man of her dreams into catchy songs on her newest album. The album is called "Liebe erleben (Experience Love)", and is a mirror into her soul. Never before has the winner of the 1995 "Grand-Prix der Volksmusik" ("Nimm dir wieder einmal Zeit") shown more feeling than in these 12 new songs. Almost all of the songs are from songwriter Maurice van Beek and the best-selling author Wolgang Hofler. Both have sensitively empathized with what Géraldine thought and felt. The results prick up one's ears: An album out of life for life - for a better life.

The 38 year old was already married twice - and both times it went bad. The first man was a softie, the second a macho, and both were the wrong partner for Gßraldine Olivier. How can she find the right one though, who really fits for her and her son Gregory? The five year old is the only reason that she is thankful for her second husband. When Géraldine Olivier goes on Tour, she knows that her son is well protected at her parents house in Marly (Swizterland). So safe and secure, as she herself as a child felt - und still feels to this day.

Her parents didn't just give her love in her younger years, but also gave her protection through the painful years. The pop singer is also thankful for her many fans, who were also morally there for her. "Those were the nice moments for a while, that I would otherwise have stricken from my life," said the artist. Basically though, the fans just returned what Gßraldine during her good days had shown; for her heart belongs to the people that need help. To give new energy to a very sick person she gave him her most prized award: her "Grand-Prix" Trophy; it is now at his home, the home of one of her true fans. She is also willing to seperate herself from all of the prizes that she has collected fromher now 20 year career, to give her fans a very personal pleasure. "Of course I am proud and happy about all the awards," said the sucessful artist. "The material, though, is not important, and when I can help a friend out of a difficult situation, then I will do that passionately."

Passion - this word is like a thread that works it's way through her love life. Gßeraldine Olivier lives her greatest feelings completely, today though differently as before. She has learned not to drop her dreams and interests because of a relationship. "Before I always first thought about my partners feelings; if I was doing everything right." Then she saw the mistake she was making. "Now I know that I have to make sure that I am happy. When I am happy then the man by my side will also be happy." For women who have lived through similar experiences she has the following advice: "No man is worth bending over backwards for. When you notice that this is happening, that you aren't yourself anymore, then something is wrong."

The title of her new Album "Liebe erleben (Experience Love)" describes like no other, the mood of the Singer since she became single. "I have often trusted empty words and I have not seen through the brilliance of the facade," she admits in the title "Große Gefühle (Great Feelings)". Gßraldine has not given up on her feelings towards men, even after her experiences. Actually it's the complete opposite! She shows her longing for the man of her dreams in her song "Boom-Bang, mein Herz ist in Gefahr (Boom-Bang, My Heart is in Danger)", a man who doesn't let her sleep alone anymore. "I really like to flirt," said the picture perfect Swiss. "And it sometimes happens that I will seduce man when he is charming and unattached." She would never steal a man away from his wife. "Besides, who wants to wait as a mistress until he decides to give them his time."

Géraldine Olivier has continued her life with a new self-confidence. The actual album accompanies her like a navigations system that she herself programmed. With one specialty: The way is also the ambition: "Liebe erleben (Experience Love)."
